David Lu, MD Ophthalmologist Corneal Specialist

David Lu MD, is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist experienced in corneal surgery, premium cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Lu obtained his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. He then obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he graduated with distinction.

Following graduation, Dr. Lu received his ophthalmology residency training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Lu then completed further subspecialty training with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. During his career, he has received numerous scholarships and awards for teaching, research, and academic excellence. Pilots, professional athletes, and fellow surgeons have all entrusted their eyes with Dr. Lu and have praised him for the excellent care that they’ve received.

Dr. Lu specializes in cataract surgery, dropless surgery, premium lens implantation, LASIK, ICL, corneal transplants, DMEK, keratoconus, pterygium, laser surgery, glaucoma, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Lu enjoys snowboarding, watching football, playing tennis, tending to his garden, and going for long runs on the beach.

I had Lasik done about a week ago and all I can say is I’m very impressed. A great surgeon, calm and professional which made me comfortable. I loved how informational he was. He did not use big medical terms to explain Lasik, he used eye models, pictures and diagrams. My vision a week later is 20/15 in both eyes. Before Lasik I could barely see the big E without my glasses a huge improvement

Our city of Dover is blessed to have Dr. Creech. He is a fantastic surgeon with the added bonus of a warm and caring bedside manner. He always has time to answer my questions and address my concerns professionally and thoroughly. His convenient location on the first floor at Eden Hill Medical Center directly across from the Surgery Center is another great asset, especially when I need to have someone accompanying me for my visits.
