Tanya Malhotra, O.D. , Dipl ABO
Dr. Tanya Malhotra grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. She then traveled to Philadelphia to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, during which she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.
She completed rotations in ocular disease, low vision and contact lenses at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in South Carolina. She was also selected for a neuro-ophthalmic disease internship at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia.
Dr. Malhotra graduated magna cum laude as a Doctor of Optometry with clinical honors in neuro-ophthalmic disease and primary care, and went on to complete her ocular disease residency at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Maryland. During her residency, she presented at the American Academy of Optometry and also achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Optometry.
Her practice includes full-scope comprehensive medical eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease, surgical co-management, and emergency care. She lives in Delaware and enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
